The Scream scraper demonstrator explores color perception beyond visual experience by translating color variations in Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” into sound and light. Using two photographic captures of the painting, the system creates a 3D topographical map that highlights the differences between these images. A near-distance sensor reads this 3D landscape, converting color variations into corresponding audio frequencies and colored light displays. As viewers interact with the piece, they experience these color differences through multiple senses, offering new insights into how artwork changes over time. This innovative approach combines visual, spatial, and auditory elements to create a multi-sensory exploration of color perception and art preservation.
