The Gifts of Isis<\/h2>\n

PERCEIVE has worked to design a prototype that supports the creation of Authentic User Experiences in the Cultural Heritage domain. The concept of \u201cAuthenticity\u201d extends far beyond the mere \u201crealism\u201d of digital reconstructions, and it is based on the research the team has developed, according to which authenticity is based on three pillars (the self, the relationship with others, and with the surrounding world), each with specific components (i.e. collaboration, hybridity, interaction, reflection). <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The prototype, made of instructions, theoretical framework with actionable design components and AI-based support tool, has been applied to the design of the installation \u201cThe Gifts of Isis\u201d, and it has been included in the exhibition \u201cPerceive Isis\u2019 Colours\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Gifts of Isis\u201d<\/strong> is a Collaborative, Multi-User, Multi-Sensory and Hybrid experience set inside the Temple of Isis in Pompeii. During the experience, three players\u2014after choosing a gift they wish to ask from Isis (Patience, Wisdom, Creativity)\u2014must first reconstruct the temple and its colours, by solving a series of mini-games, and then complete three tasks assigned by the goddess herself, in collaborative mode, in order to gain access to the sacred ceremony and obtain the three gifts. The storytelling is based on emotive narratives and on 3d reconstructions with real characters added in VFX. The structure of the experience include a welcome and selection of the gifts and of the character (1), a single-player game-based reconstruction phase (2), a collaborative task-based participation to a ceremony (3) and a rewarding closing<\/p>\n
