PERCEIVE CoDesign Toolbox
Experiment Planner

The Experiment Planner is an integrating part of the PERCEIVE CoDesign Toolbox. While the CoDesign Tool supports the ideation of new heritage experiences and the Prototyper gives you the possibility to give shape to your ideas, with the Experiment Planner you can evaluate your exhibitions prototypes.

It is based on the web-3D framework ATON: it wraps any ATON-based 3D environment (desktop or VR) with an admin panel that guides operators (e.g., psychologists, UX researchers, curators) through the configuration and conduction of experimental sessions. In its current design, this tool enables the creation of evaluation sessions where participants can explore via VR headsets immersive environments (such as digital twins of heritage
sites) and interact with digital replicas of exhibits. Visitors may also perform specific tasks (e.g., searching for an object) while the system streams in live to the admin position and state of the user, as defined in the evaluation protocol. At the end of the session, the tester receives a machine-readable report of all the testing sessions
